Author index. Subject index. Conservation biology is recently evolved branch of biological sciences in response to the extinction processes we have witnessed during the past few decades. Biodiversity conservation can not be effectively made in the absence of basic information of systematics. A Textbook of Systematics and Biodiversity Conservation is intended to be used for college and university students in biology as part of their courses on systematics biodiversity and conservation biology. Systematics and biodiversity conservation are to be developed as core subjects of university students in biology. In this textbook we have attempted to strike a balance between fundamental details and recent developments in systematics and biodiversity conservation. Concern for depletion of natural habitats and extinction of species are stressed and conservation priorities are emphasized. A good proportion of our biology students graduate with insufficient information on systematics which leads them to face difficulties in identifying even common species of plants and animals around. Special attention has been given to simplify the text in an easily understandable form so that any one with basic interest in biology can make use of it for analyses of species composition in their study areas. This textbook will be able to solve many of the basic doubts of students who study systematics and biodiversity and form a source of inspiration for taking related topics for advanced research. 280 pp.…

Index to genera and species. Plates.   This Fauna volume deals with the subfamily Eulophinae of the family Eulophidae  Chalcidoidea : Hymenoptera. The members of this subfamily are mostly parasitoids of immature stages of other insects while some are phytophagous. They are economically very important since many species keep the population of several insect pests under check, preventing them from reaching economic injury level. They are minute wasps which usually range in length from 1-4 mm. This volume contains 39 genera and 251 species. Among these two genera and 72 species are new to science.  It is hoped that this volume will not only help in the identification of various genera and species of Eulophinae occurring in the Indian subcontinent their distribution host relationships and affinities with other related species but also serve as an tool for undertaking biological control work against insect pests involving these insects. Condizione: Sehr gut. Zustand: Sehr gut | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | Shippers are emphasizing logistics, since networking has become complex due to the globalization and demand variability has become huge for various products across countries. In order to meet customer demands, vendors must ensure appropriate quantities of storages at the point of demand and must ensure optimal distribution plans that include routing of the distribution vehicles. Managing such complex logistic networks, with high level of customization and services expected by customers, require various strategies to keep the transportation and inventory costs low. This requirement has evolved as the Inventory Routing Problem (IRP) which focuses on timing of deliveries, sizes of shipments and routing of vehicles. With the objective of enabling logistics planners to determine the distribution quantities and routing schedules to warehouses, few prominent variants of the inventory routing problems are addressed. The proposed mathematical models and heuristic approaches can assist planners in logistic decisions at operational level. These approaches will be useful in Oil industries, Retail industries, Blood banks, Automobile Industries and Vendor managed inventory systems.…
