Aggiungi al carrelloFirst UK edition; 8vo (19 x 13.5 cm); publisher's brick red cloth, silver gilt lettering to spine, original pictorial dust-jacket, one small chip to foot of spine and a little wear to head of spine, both reinforced with tape to verso, a little toning to endpapers, else a fine copy in a very good dust-jacket; xvii, 168, [6, ads.] pp. An especially well preserved copy of this early biography of Jawaharlal Nehru. The book chronicles his childhood and rise to becoming Prime Minister, including his relationship with Gandhi, his role in the 'Quit India' movement, and imprisonment by the British government. It is a tender and sympathetic portrayal by a fellow countryman.
