This is a collection of printed speeches that were originally given by prominent Oregon politicians and settlers on the occasion of the 3rd Annual Reunion of the Oregon Pioneer Association, a summary of events during the occasion, and a brief biography of Joseph L. Meek (1810-1875) by Mrs. F. F. Victor. The speakers at the event were Matthew P. Deady (1824-1893), James W. Nesmith (1820-1885), George P. Holman (1842-?), and George L. Curry (1820-1878). Each of the speakers honor the Oregon pioneers, many of whom are specifically mentioned by name, and briefly describe the general history of the westward migration to Oregon and its subsequent development. Includes several references to events, songs, and the like that pay tribute to Oregon pioneers. Very brief section on Pioneer Day also included.
