Buckland Dix & Wood, London. 1991 First edition 164pp Illustrated Hardback. This scarce sale catalogue is in fine unmarked condition bound in green cloth covered boards with bright gilt titling. Endpapers are printed on laid paper with rampant lion device. The text block is bright, white, tight and square. The unclipped dust wrapper has some sunning but is still entire. This sumptuous catalogue gives a clue to the importance of the sale of this important collection formed by the eminent numismatist and collector A. A. Upfill-Brown whose own research material was used in the description for each of the 385 lots thus making this an important research source and proof of provenance. Ref FF5.
