Principaux collaborateurs : Arthur Arnould, Alexis Bouvier, Louis Combes, Édouar…d Lockroy, Eugène Razoua et Jules Vallès.Victor Noir quitta la direction au 4e numéro, et la publication s'interrompit à la treizième livraison à la suite d'une première menace de diffamation qui lui fut faite.Yvan Salomon, dit Victor Noir, journaliste français (Attigny, Vosges, 1848 - Paris 1870) fut rédacteur à La Marseillaise. Il fut témoin avec Ulrich de Fonvielle, envoyé par son confrère Grousset, qui demandait réparation au prince Pierre Bonaparte pour un article diffamatoire paru dans L'Avenir corse ; le prince Napoléon attendant les témoins envoyés par Henri Rochefort fut contrarié en recevant Noir et Fonvielle. Victor Noir fut blessé mortellement par le prince. Ses obsèques à Neuilly donnèrent lieu à une importante manifestation républicaine (100.000 personnes) contre le régime impérial. Aujourd'hui, son tombeau au cimetière du Père Lachaise, chef d'oeuvre de Dallou, est l'un des plus visités et vénérés ; son gisant est connu pour la protubérance de son sexe. On dit que des jeunes filles et des femmes en mal d'amour ou d'enfant viennent, par superstition, l'effleurer pour retrouver la fertilité.Périodique rare. [series of names including Victor Noir], etc, etc. / Le Numero cinquante Centimes -". Victor Noir iwas the editor of this short-lived (no pun intended) publication. Apparently a romantic figure (cut off in his youth) who still attracts female attention on his grave. His signature is inevitabky extremely scarce.
