This particular issue, October 1936, was published at the time when Amazing Stories was overseen by Teck Publications and editor T. O'Conor Sloane (Sloane is generally credited as Amazing's editor from November 1929-May 1938). Notably, one of the contributors in this issue, John W. Campbell, Jr., was editor of another sci-fi pulp magazine, Astounding Science-Fiction, from 1937-1971.
