Die Prosa- und Lyriktexte von Norbert Göttler sind sowohl in bairischem Dialekt als auch in Hochsprache geschrieben. Das widerspricht sich nicht, sondern ergänzt sich. Beide Formen spielen sich den Ball gegenseitig zu. Oder treiben sich, im Idealfall, gegenseitig an.Ebenso ist es im Miteinander von gereimten und ungereimten Gedichten. Der Reim, von zeitgenössischen Autoren und Autorinnen nur mehr selten verwendet, hat seine bleibende Bedeutung in der Ballade.
