The work reprints many articles by von Proschwitz, includes essays by others, a short resumé ofthe subject. a bibliography and a ist of his books, and a lexical index. . . . . . von Proschwitz was born in Göteborg/Gothenburg and, other than a short period as Professor of Romance languages at Uppsala University, spent his whole life in the city. A noted scholar of French, his particular topic of interest was 18th century France and in particular the country's relations with Sweden.
