Erste Ausgabe dieser Neuzusam…menstellung zweier Liedsammlungen mit der bei Bloch, Berlin 1931 erschienene Sammlung gleichen Titels mit den Illustrationen Ohsers und Teilen des 1938 im Berliner Schützen-Verlag erschienenen Moritatenbuchs "Ihr lieben Leute höret zu". Stemmle (1903-1974) war ein bekannter Film- und Theaterregisseur und Drehbuchautor. Er arbeitete als Assistent von Max Reinhardt, für Erik Charell und ab 1934 für die UfA. 1929 gründete er mit Werner Finck das berühmte Kabarett "Die Katakombe". Nach dem Krieg war er an Schlagerfilmen, aber auch an Karl May- und Edgar Wallace-Serien beteiligt. Der Illustrator Erich Ohser hatte 1933 wegen politischer Karikaturen im Vorfeld der Machtergreifung praktisch Berufsverbot erhalten. Unter Pseudonym E.O. Plauen (seine Geburtstadt) umging er dieses Verbot und seine später weltbekannten Vater und Sohn-Bildergeschichten erschienen zunächst in der Berliner Illustrierten Zeitung, später auch als Bücher. Der Erfolg bewirkte daß er wieder publizieren konnte. Seine offenkundige Abneigung gegen das NS-Regimes führte aber 1944 zu einer Denunziation und seiner anschließenden Verhaftung, zusammen mit seinem Freund Erich Knauf (literarischer Leiter der Büchergilde). Ohser erhängte sich eine Nacht vor dem Prozess vor dem Volksgerichtshof, während Knauf zum Tode verurteilt und hingerichtet wurde. Sprache: de.
