The first Biodiversity Museum of Laos has been opened at Nam Kat Yorla Pa in Oudomxai province, north-west of the country, on february the 24th 2024. A first study of the Lepidoptera fauna inventoried 463 Heterocera species, 128 are recorded for the first time in Laos. Nine species are new to science.
