GHOSTS OF 1219 is a psychological horror mystery steeped in scandal, satire, and supernatural dread-where history doesn't just haunt the present, it wants a starring role.Arty Buckminster is a rising stand-up comic on the cusp of breakout stardom. With an indie hit in the can and a flirtation with serious roles on the horizon, Arty is looking to shed both his weight and his reputation as a funny fat guy. When he discovers he's distantly related to silent-era comedy giant Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, he becomes fixated on the 1921 scandal that destroyed Arbuckle's career-and perhaps cursed his lineage. The story of Arbuckle's Labor Day weekend bash in San Francisco's St. Francis Hotel, and the suspicious death of actress Virginia Rappe, becomes more than historical curiosity; for Arty, it's personal. With his film premiere scheduled in San Francisco, Arty's provocative friend Reid dares him to do the unthinkable: recreate Arbuckle's party, livestreamed, in the exact hotel suite where the scandal occurred-Room 1219. Arty, intrigued by the dare and the potential career buzz, agrees. Joined by Reid and their mutual friend Norm, a sardonic screenwriter, they rent out the rooms, dress in 1920s fashion, and invite a wave of influencers, scenesters, and fellow performers to what they brand a "tribute-seance bash." They even drive up the coast in a replica of Arbuckle's 1920s roadster to seal the deal. But this is more than a party. When Arty meets an eerie old man named Conklin, who suggests a long-lost Arbuckle film may be hidden in the hotel, the mood darkens. That film-Fool's Masquerade-was rumored to have been shot under disturbing circumstances, and whispers claim it's cursed.Once the guests arrive, the livestream ignites. Hashtags trend. Booze flows. But behind the velvet and champagne, something stirs. Arty begins to notice odd details-patterns in the wallpaper, voices behind doors, reflections that aren't quite right. Guests begin to echo figures from 1921. And then, Arty glimpses him: a grotesque figure in a too-small bowler hat and ill-fitting suspenders. A cartoonish specter of gluttony and madness. A living caricature of Arbuckle's "Hayseed" persona-twisted into something demonic. When a rusted film reel is discovered hidden within the walls-Fool's Masquerade-the true horror begins. Against Conklin's warnings, Arty screens it. The images are grotesque: grainy vaudeville, blurred faces, ancient rites of violence and debauchery. The line between past and present blurs. The guests fall into fugue states. Reality loops. Elevators return to the same floor no matter what's pressed. No one can leave the 12th floor. As the demonic "Fatty" stalks the halls with a meat cleaver, Arty must piece together what's happening. Is it possession? A curse? A supernatural echo? Or a test designed just for him? With Reid, Norm, and Penny-the actress Arty longs for-caught in the madness, Arty uncovers a deeper truth: Fool's Masquerade wasn't just a film, but a ritual. Arbuckle's identity may have been split, his worst instincts summoned and personified in a shadow self. And now, a century later, Arty faces the same fate. Is he destined to repeat history, or break the loop?As bodies fall and timelines collapse, Arty must confront his own demons: ego, envy, pride, self-indulgence. To stop the curse, he'll need more than clever jokes or viral attention-he'll need to burn what brought him here, literally and figuratively.Ghosts of 1219 is a genre-blending descent into madness, drawing on the mythos of The Shining, 1408, and The Ninth Gate while offering biting commentary on fame, social media, cancel culture, and the price of reinvention. It asks: when the ghosts of the past go viral, how do you fight for your future?GHOSTS of 1219This Labor Day, party like i Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…

Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. When Oswald "Oz" Tippet, a disillusioned JFK assassination buff and struggling writer, inherits his eccentric grandfather's crumbling Dallas estate, he expects little more than overdue bills, yellowed newspapers, and memories of a family fractured by obsession. But beneath the dust and decay, he discovers a hidden manuscript - a cryptic document written in his grandfather's hand, claiming to expose a forgotten figure at the heart of the conspiracy: Officer J.D. Tippit. Long dismissed as a footnote to history, Tippit - the Dallas cop gunned down forty-five minutes after Kennedy's assassination - becomes the unlikely key to a deeper narrative Oz never imagined. The manuscript offers unsettling details: Tippit's secret surveillance assignments, strange sightings the day of the shooting, and hints at doubles, code names, and unnatural forces shaping events. As Oz digs further, aided reluctantly by his skeptical sister Kylie and best friend Josh, he begins to experience strange temporal disturbances - flickers of another life, phantom memories not his own. Meanwhile, a mysterious man named Lovelady arrives at the estate under the guise of settling legal affairs. Suave, eerily polite, and flanked by silent "associates," he reveals a disturbing familiarity with Oz's family history. His visit ignites a chain of increasingly violent and surreal events, pulling Oz, Kylie, and a young boy named Lee into the eye of a storm decades in the making. The deeper Oz investigates, the more the lines blur between history and myth. A hidden room in the attic reveals ritual markings, strange artifacts tied to the Kennedy case - Tippit's badge, Oswald's watch, even a lens from Zapruder's camera - each serving as a totem in what appears to be an arcane effort to control time itself. Oz realizes he isn't just researching the past; he's a part of it. And someone - or something - is determined to make sure the official story remains untouched. Haunted by dreams that place him in the body of Tippit on the morning of November 22, 1963, Oz begins slipping through the cracks in time. He sees the world through Tippit's eyes - his morning routine, his cryptic notes, his rising unease as the city holds its breath. But these aren't passive visions. They're interactive, immersive. And someone is watching. As the mansion becomes a pressure cooker of converging timelines, ideological zealots, and family secrets, Oz must decide whether to preserve the narrative the world has accepted or risk everything to alter it. Alongside Kylie, Josh, and Becky - his ex - Oz races against unseen forces to protect the next generation, symbolized by young Lee, from inheriting the lies of the last. The story builds with mounting paranoia as strangers become operatives, identities fracture, and history begins to fold in on itself. Lovelady's influence grows more malevolent, revealing ties to a shadowy network tasked with pruning "deviations" from history's timeline. As timelines converge, Oz is forced to confront who his grandfather really was - not the reclusive eccentric he remembers, but a man bound by guilt, perhaps complicit in something far more damning than silence. The manuscript, it seems, is both a confession and a warning - a final attempt to rewrite fate through his grandson's eyes. Darkly atmospheric, with echoes of "Zodiac", "JFK", and "Lonestar", by way of "Jacob's Ladder", the story blends political thriller, psychological horror, and speculative sci-fi into a narrative about inheritance: of trauma, of memory, and of truth. It challenges the notion of fixed history, suggesting that events aren't just remembered - they're curated, by those with the will and the power to do so. TIPPIT With a turn of the page, obsession becomes possession, and myth is rewritten in real time. An ex-con tattoo artist is hired to ink seductive beauties, but when the newly illustrated models turn up dead, he must solve the mystery, clear his name, and evade a corrupt cop on his tail. After seven years at MacNeil, Deano Sheehan is Deano free man. And while he probably should've tried to better himself by obtaining a college degree or lifting weights, he instead chose to immerse himself even deeper within the art that has chosen him. Tattooing. As he steps back into the free world, his legend has grown to almost mystical status. People from all walks of life see his markings as a good luck charm or at least see themselves as walking art galleries. But his strait-laced brother, Mike, a high-powered attorney in Seattle, has him convinced to leave all the ink stains behind. He's set up an important interview, even scheduling a laser removal appointment for his little brother, to make him more presentable to the corporate world. But just as a leopard can't change its spots, Deano finds it impossible to escape the subculture of tatts. Soon, he's skipping out on the doctor's appointment and the job interview, touching base with his fellow tattoo artists and friends from more than a half decade ago: Vinny, the grizzled old pro, Trent, the uptight shop owner, and Jenna, his old flame. With Vinny and Jenna's cajoling, Deano has his old job back, much to the jealous Trent's chagrin. Enter mysterious businessman Burton Giles, about the last person you'd expect to see in a tattoo parlor, who lays out a proposal almost as startling as the elaborate designs he wants engraved on the backs of his beautiful models. It's a job ideally suited for Deano's particular technique and draws the envy of his fellow ink slingers when he snares it: 50,000 dollars, and a high-end photo shoot awaits, after he skillfully administers the series of tribal Thai tattoos to four alluring Asian women that have been selected. With Jenna's urging, things appear to be turning around for Deano. That is, until Sonny Tran, the local drug kingpin pays them a visit, demanding 40,000 for the drugs he lost in the bust; A wide ranging drug sweep that cost Deano years for simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time, leaving a bitter stain that will outlast any tattoo. Now, the gig at Burton's mansion is do or die. And, as he rekindles things with Jenna, and makes new plans for a life with her, he also enters a seductive world filled with exotic women, sex, and drugs. It's not long before his new occupational hazards include a depraved descent into decadence. But when Burton disappears without paying him, and the newly illustrated models all turn up dead one morning, a disoriented, drug addled Deano is left holding the bag, fleeing a bloody crime scene with a bull's-eye seemingly tattooed on his back. Soon, he's back at the tattoo parlor, trying to blend back into his old life like a faded symbol within an elaborate sleeve, but clearly standing out as a prime suspect to Detective Moylan, the same corrupt narc who pinned the trumped-up drug rap on him years ago. It's a delicate game of show and tell as he tries to evade the cops and find answers, and yet, Deano's search for the truth is about to hit another snag. Sonny Tran, tired of waiting, has kidnapped Jenna and is demanding full payment of the 40 grand for ransom. When his now estranged brother and a shadowy DEA agent come to his aid, he is given a shot at busting Tran and saving Jenna. But as new evidence emerges and Moylan's murder probe tightens, the sting goes horribly awry and ends up putting her in even more danger. Deano's a full-fledged fugitive now and must team with Vinny, to help track down Burton, solve the mystery of who framed him, and more importantly, why? Beneath the surface lies the secret of the needle, and t Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…
