Historic contributor copy of this iteration of Spalding's Basketball Guide, Spalding's Athletic Library 700r. From the library of Naismith Hall of Fame coach and contributor to the game, Harry A. Fisher (1882-1967). Fisher coached at Fordham, Columbia, St. John's, and the U.S. Military Academy. He sat on the committee that wrote the first rules for collegiate basketball in 1905, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1974. 17x13cm, 158, [2] plus 32pp rule book at back. Illustrations, advertisements. Original green and black illustrated wrappers bound in maroon cloth boards with owner's name in gilt on upper cover. Some edge wear to pages else nearly fine. Boards show some rubbing to edges.
