Original Cloth. Condizione: Good. First Edition. Volumes 2 to 6 of The Child's Fairy Library - Volume 1 is unfortunately not present. Varying condition from Very Good to Poor. Volume 2 contains The White Cat, The Master Cat or Puss in Boots, Babiola and Prince Cherry. It is in Good condition externally with a small chip at the top of the faded spine and a small stain to the front panel. Unfortunately the pages are loosening at the rear of the book with pages 149 to 156 detached. The pages are browned with a few light spots in places and tape marks to pages 157 to 160. Volume 3 contains Princess Rosetta (Madame d'Aulnoy), Little Red Riding-Hood (Charles Perrault), The Sleeping Beauty in the Wood (Charles Perrault), The Fair One with the Golden Hair (Madame d'Aulnoy) and Hop-o'-My-Thumb (Charles Perrault). It is in Good condition externally with a little surface chipping at the top and bottom of the faded spine and a small stain to the front panel. The pages are browned with a few light spots in places and staining here and there through the book. Volume 4 contains Princess Minikin, The Story of Prince Elfin and The Story of Prince Sincere. It is in Poor condition with the front panel detached and the front free endpaper and the frontispiece detached. A few of the illustrations - seven or eight - have been coloured in. The rear free endpaper is torn and the binding is rather slack. Volume 5 contains The Blue Bird (Madame d'Aulnoy), The Good Little Mouse (Madame d'Aulnoy), The Story of the Hind in the Forest (Madame d'Aulnoy). It is in Poor condition with the front panel detached and the pages through to the title page detached. A number of the illustrations - 19 or so - have been coloured in. The rear panel is also detached with the final page attached to it and the rear free endpaper largely torn away. The binding is very slack. Volume 6 contains Blue Beard (Charles Perrault), Cinderella or the Little Glass Slipper (Charles Perrault), Fairer than a Fairy (Mademoiselle De La Force), The Yellow Dwarf (Madame d'Aulnoy), A Visit to the Islands of Pleasure (M. Fénelon). It is in Very Good condition with some edge wear to the boards and browning and light staining to the pages.…

All edges gilt. , Philip Adolphe Klier (c.1845 ? 1911), also known as Philip Klier, was a German photographer, who arrived in Burma as a young man around 1865 and spent the rest of his life there. Mainly working as self-trained photographer and businessman, Klier took hundreds of photographs at the end of the 19th century during the British colonial period in Burma. His photographs, taken both in his studio as well as on location, were mainly sold as picture postcards for foreign visitors. They have also been published in several books and collected in public archives. Among a small number of other photographers, Klier is considered as one of the earliest professional photographers in the history of today's Myanmar.Jean Philippe Vogel (1871 in The Hague ? 1958), popularly known by his initials J. Ph. Vogel, was a Dutch Sanskritist and epigraphist who worked with the Archaeological Survey of India from 1901 to 1914 and later, as Professor in the University of Leiden, where some of his fonds are currently located.George Craddock (1859-1934) was an Anglo-Indian photographer from Punjab. He worked in various cities throughout India, eventually settling on his studio in Lahore, where he died. G.W. Lawrie was a Scottish photographer active from 1883 to 1921.
