As this was malacologist Ruth Turner's copy, with her former ownership signature "R. D. Turner" at top of cover, presumably the author's inscript…ion was to her. Dr. Turner placed scotch tape at bottom of spine. "47" written next to series statement at top of cover; a small label with "47" was laid onto the title page next to the series statement; volume has wear; hinges starting, holding; text clean. 235 p., with in-text illustrations and 11 "plates" (actually included in the pagination). As Ruth Turner was the world's expert on Teredinidae, with her 1966 shipworm catalogue being the classic in the field, Dr. Rancurel's monograph was an important one in her collection.
