This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Current research in drug discovery from medicinal plants involves an ultifaceted approach combining botanical, phytochemical, biological, and molecular techniques. Medicinal plant drug discovery continues to provide new and important leads against various pharmacological targets. The plant extract were screened for antimicrobial activity against different species by the agar well diffusion assay. The aqueous extracts of Catharanthus roseus were found active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The antiangiogenic efficacy of Catharanthus roseus leaf extract was examined in vivo in the chick chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) model by using fertilized eggs. Decreases in the density of the capillaries were assessed and scored. The results showed scores of 0.5 for 5 g , score 2.0 for 10 g extract have an inhibitory effect on angiogenesis. These results were also confirmed by the inhibition indicates that this crude extract have antiangiogenic action. The anticancer activity of extract also showed significant activity. 56 pp. Englisch.

This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Prodigiosin was isolated from fermented broth of isolated marine bacterial strain Vibrio sp. The compound was characterized, and evaluated for its antimicrobial properties. The isolated strain was molecularly identified based on 16S rRNA based phylogenetic analysis. This molecular analysis data suggested that this strain is closely related to Vibrio sp. The extract was purified and characterized by spectral data using NMR and MASS and confirmed as analogue 2,2'-[3-methoxy-1'amyl-5'-methyl-4-(1''-pyrryl)] Prodigiosin structure. Prodigiosin exhibited antioxidant and broad spectrum antimicrobial properties against gram negative and gram positive strains. Molecular docking study with different cancer targets revealed that this compound it may be a potential candidate at pharmaceutical sector. 104 pp. Englisch.
