The book is bound in fine green cloth and lettered in shiny gold on the spine. From the Dust Jacket: "This book was originally intended to commemorate the centennial of golf at Nehoiden, the Wellesley College golf club, but has instead become a history of golf at what is probably the oldest college golf club in the country. Nehoiden Golf Club is remarkable in its relationship to the College, the town of Wellesley, and golf in Massachusetts. In pursuing its history, the reader will find unexpected ties to the lives of the earliest inhabitants of the region, to the beginnings of golf in Massachusetts, and to the development of one of the most outstanding women's colleges in the country.".
