Reliure postérieure de demi-veau havane à coins, dos lisse orné de filets gras dorés, doubles filets maigres dorés, pièce de titre de maroquin havane, titre doré. Edition originale rare. Premier tirage des 25 (sur 25) planches gravées (dont double-page). L'iconographie est complétée par un frontispice gravé signé Gaetano Testolini Vicent. Belle impression sur papier fort. Texte en français suivi de sa traduction (avec page de titre séparée) en italien. ''C'est à Scamozzi que l'on doit la redécouverte de ces planches après la disparition de Palladio que ne les avait jamais publiées ; seule une partie vit le jour à Londres en 1732.'' (Kapandji). This book went through a number of editions in Italian in the latter part of the 17th century in both Rome and Venice. This seems to be the first edition in French, and the only edition in French until 1725.
