Paperback. near fine chapbook, 12pp.Illustrated by Alan Hunter, staples are oxidising 1st edition, Stories by D. N. J. It seems certain that "D.N.J." was a Cambridge contemporary of M.R. James, and likely that he was a member of the same circle, but nothing else is known about the author.

Pamphlet. Condizione: Very Good. A somewhat enigmatic lot of uncommon materials: issues 27, 29, and 30 of Ghosts and Scholars; a stapled, photocopied manuscript of an unattributed transcription of M.R. James's incomplete short story, "Speaker Lenthall's Tomb," and a distribution catalog for Haunted Library and other publications from Richard Fawcett. All three Ghosts & Scholars issues in very good condition, save some smudging to issue 27; saddle-stapled bindings tight and sturdy; interiors unmarked. The manuscript shows "LOST STORY BY MR. [sic] JAMES" in pencil across the top; underlining in text of introduction appears to be from the original of which this would be a photocopy. It is unclear from the document itself who transcribed this short story, when, whose copy this is, or to what level this manuscript was distributed. The introduction mentions publications of less complete versions in 1999 and 2001; it appears that a version of this story, possibly this version, appeared in a Ghosts & Scholars newsletter in 2005. Distribution material includes handwritten information by someone working at the distributor and previous owner's notes on which issues to buy. Ships same or next day from Dinkytown, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
