Aggiungi al carrelloSoftcover. Condizione: Near Fine. 8vo., 272 pp. Bios and Contacts, Index. Ads at rear. Black and white photos and illustrations throughout. Cover art by Joe Coleman. Boyd Rice, photographer. True first edition, first print. An anthology of the fringe and transgressive edited by Adam Parfrey and first published in this edition by… Parfrey's publishing house, Amok Press, in 1987. Three years later, it was republished in an expanded and revised edition by Parfrey's second publishing house, Feral House. The book, named after Parfrey's fringe cultural scene, defines itself as 'an exhaustive tour through the nether regions of today's psychotic brainscape'; it contains writings from, among others, anarchist Hakim Bey and journalist Thomas McEvilley, as well as avowed neo-Nazis, Satanists, necrophiles and writing from Parfrey himself. Though controversial, the book was popular with its audience and sold well, reportedly having sold at least 100,000 copies by 2010. The expanded edition contains largely different content. It was a success for Parfrey, his earliest book to achieve this kind of success, and became a cult classic. The book was banned in Russia in 2006. It was followed by a sequel, 'Apocalypse Culture II,' in 2000. Very Near Fine. Tight and square.

Aggiungi al carrelloSoft Cover. Condizione: Very Good. First Edition. First and likely only printing of this tale filled with conspiracy. The original Feral House printing; not a facsimile. Full number-line beginning with 1. Copyight 2006 by James Shelby Downard. Rare material. Glossy pictorial wraps, light cover, corner, edge wear. Pages near fine…, light corner crease to first few; no writing. Small stamp at half-title page: "From the Library of Chad Brian." Bind fine, square. Several highly intriguing rare photographs and imagery throughout. Near fine delicacy of - may be true - historical terror. Features an introduction by Adam Parfrey of Feral House and edited by Elana Freeland. This work tells and shows one man's unnerving encounter with Freemasonry and the Ku Klux Klan in the 1920's deep South. James Shelby Downard, the star contributor to "Apocalypse Culture" with King-Kill 33, details the skullduggery and ritualism of the KKK and other secretive, rather nefarious groups. Downard is one of the most compelling realists of the twentieth century. Presented here is his thrilling life story, detailing the horrific mayhem he may have witnessed, claims to be a victim of, and how these figures imposed themselves on the young boy and his family. Verity and verifiability are debatable, but an ultra-entertaining read of jiggery-pokery, regardless. "The most absurd, the most incredible, ridiculous Illuminati theory of them all." - Robert Anton Wilson. One page pictorial advert at final page with three additional title descriptions from Feral House. 286 pages. Insured post. Size: 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" Tall. Danger [Cover Art] (illustratore). Book.

Aggiungi al carrelloFirst edition. First edition. (Paperback original, first printing with full number line on copyright page.) xxiv, 286, [2] pp. Very light shelf wear, else Fine and unread. The rare, out-of-print autobiography by the author of the seminal conspiracy essay "King-Kill/33," which first appeared in Feral House chief Adam Parfrey's an…thology Apocalypse Culture. In that essay Downard argued that the assassination was a sort of Masonic occult rite or "working" by pointing out a proliferation of symbols and seeming coincidences. This memoir only covers Downard's early years but contains enough hair-raising events and strange conjectures to keep devotees of The Downard Mystery (to take a page from Richard Shaver) entertained.

Aggiungi al carrelloSigned by Adam Parfrey, contributor and editor, on the title page in red ink. xii, 458 pp. Bound in publisher's wraps. Second printing of the first edition. Near Fine with bumping to top corner, some sticker schmutz on rear cover. Uncommon signed. The follow-up to Parfrey's original anthology Apocalpyse Culture, first published i…n 1987 by his initial publishing concern, Amok Press, and then heavily revised when reprinted by his imprint Feral House. The book had a huge cultural impact, acting as a gateway drug for many readers, introducing them to wild fringe ideas and obscure figures that, pre-internet, they probably never would have encountered otherwise. This sequel is in many ways a stiffer drink, attempting to encompass some of the profoundly disturbing weirdness the internet had begun to unleash on culture. It ends, fittingly enough, with a satirical short story by the Unabomber, Ted Kaczynski, about the foolhardiness of embracing identity politics in the face of technological apocalypse and human extinction. Signed.
