To a "maître et ami" about a collaboration on the "Collection des Petits Livres de chevet" which for Florian-Parmentier would have to find contributors. Furthermore, he details his losses and injuries during the War: harmed by gas, he went through three agonies; his parents were killed by an English torpedo, and his brother-in-law went blind: "Après 50 mois de front, je suis entré à l'hôpital, pris de gaz. Trois agonies. Un an de souffrances et de quasi-anéantissements. Et chez moi, un pays envahi, mon père et ma Mère tués par une torpille anglaise [.]" (19 March 1920). - A letter of thanks for a contribution, lamenting his freelance honorarium of a mere 250 francs for a work for Figuière: "La vie et dure. Je gagne 250 frs. chez Figuière, après tout ce que j'ai fait, et l'âge atteint de 41 ans. Quelle misère que celle des Gens de Lettres sans compromission!
