First Edition. First edition, small 8vo, pp. vii, [5], 185; near fine copy in original brown cloth, gilt-lettered spine. This copy inscribed by the author on the half-title page: "To Dr. Abram B. Bruner with the compliments and best wishes of the author, East Falls Church, Va., July 24/25." Parson obviously made a mistake in an…earlier inscription on the front free endpaper, as the endpaper has been excised and Parsons has written on the stub: "My apologies for this mutilation, B. S. P." With Bruner's bookplate on front pastedown, and a subsequent bookplate at the bottom of the half title.
