Die Massenspektraldaten bestätigen die Struktur der Liganden, wie durch den Molekülionenpeak (M+) entsprechend ihrem Molekulargewicht angezeigt. Die IR-Spektraldaten deuten auf eine Bindung des Liganden an das Metallion hin. Darüber hinaus wurden die Komplexe mittels Thermogravimetrie, elektronischen Spektren und magnetischen Messungen untersucht. Die TGA-Untersuchung zeigt eine oktaedrische Geometrie der Komplexe. Das antimykobakterielle Screening des Liganden und seiner Kupferverbindung gegen Mycobacterium tuberculosis zeigt eine deutliche Steigerung der antituberkulösen Aktivität bei der Metallkomplexierung. Außerdem wurde im Vergleich zu den freien Liganden eine gute antimikrobielle Aktivität der Komplexe gegen die verwendeten Stämme festgestellt.
