No issues whatsoever._____DISCUSSION: This is the finest collection of North American wood engravings in private press format, all printed directly from the wooden blocks. The engravings were selected by the artists and a brief biography of each artist is given. Jan Crispin is one of the world's foremost printers of wood engravings and the quality of the presswork is exceptional, as expected. Major artists included in this survey are: Barry Moser, Sarah Chamberlain, Gaylord Schanilec, Vance Gerry, and Abigail Rorer. An important Barbarian Press book, one of their major editions. The wood engravings were chosen by the artists and printed directly from the blocks on Zerkall mould-made white wove, the text handset in Eric Gill s Joanna and Joanna Italic, with Bembo for display, and printed on ivory laid paper. The new press device is by Barry Moser. Only living engravers are represented, including Bruno Bobak, Gerard Brender à Brandis, Frederick Hagan, Nancy Ruth Jackson, Rosemary Kilbourn, Carl Schaefer, Richard Yates, and 42 others, from Canada, and 72 from the United States, including Elfriede Abbe, Leonard Baskin, Sarah Chamberlain, John DePol, Barry Moser, and Paul B.
