Laid in a printed sheet (5 1/2 x 4 1/4") expressing the appreciation for honorable service. This right-wing anti-Communist work was published during the period of German occupation, by collaborationist French journalist André Chaumet (1914-1983). The preface is text denouncing the recent actions and positions of the socialist/communist movement as being militaristic, was written by collaborationist French politician Paul Rives (1895-1967), who had previously been a pacifist member of Socialist party himself. Addressing the French workers, the publication discusses communism as a bellicose doctrine against peace. The work describes the prevalent events of W.W.I. and their effect on the worker's movement, Lenin's opposition to the Treaty of Versailles, the influence of the Comintern on France, the bourgeoisie, French imperialism, victimization of antimilitarism, the situation of the workers unions, and in general the revolutionary movement in Europe into the early 1940s. The work contains illustrations, political cartoons, and b/w gravure reproductions after original photographs and newspaper articles from throughout the early 20th century. Text in French.
