Dagobert Peche (1887?1923), »das größte Ornamentgenie, das Österreich seit der Barocke besessen hat« (Bettina Zuckerkandl, zitiert nach Schweiger S. 102), trat 1915 in die künstlerische Leitung der Wiener Werkstätte ein. 1917 erhielt er die Aufgabe, die Zürcher Filiale einzurichten, deren Leiter er bis 1919 war. Neben Josef Hoffmann war er stilbestimmend für alle Arbeiten der Wiener Werkstätte. ? An das leuchtend rote Seidenband wurde unten ein doppeltes Papierschild montiert.
