Die Grundschulbildung, die in die Zuständigkeit der Gemeinden fällt, weist bekannt…lich keine guten Qualitätsindikatoren auf. Im Fall des IFMG-Campus in Ouro Preto wird in der ersten Klasse versucht, die Defizite der Schüler auszugleichen, um die Klassen zu nivellieren und sie auf die Fortsetzung des Kurses vorzubereiten, da die Anforderungen in den folgenden Klassen höher sind. In dem Maße, in dem sich die Qualität der Grundschulbildung verschlechtert, nehmen die Schwierigkeiten in den technischen Fächern zu, und die Lehrer der technischtechnischen Fächer sind gezwungen, sich an den Bemühungen zu beteiligen. Aus diesem Bedürfnis heraus entstand der Vorschlag, eine Lehrmethode zu erforschen, die in der Lage ist, das Unterrichtsdefizit zu beheben, indem sie die derzeit angewandte Methodik verstärkt, aber den Schwerpunkt des Prozesses auf den Schüler verlagert. Dabei stießen wir auf das problembasierte Lernen (PBL), das sich aufgrund der Ausgewogenheit zwischen Theorie und Praxis als eine Methode erwies, die sich perfekt an die Realität der technischen Studiengänge anpassen lässt.
