Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book presents documents transcribed from the original manuscript records of the Town of Southampton, New York, from 1731 to 1748. Its primary focus is on the day-to-day life and local affairs of this Long Island township during the colonial era. The records provide an intimate glimpse into the lives of ordinary people, revealing the challenges and triumphs of a small community in the 18th century. The book offers a unique opportunity to witness the evolution of local governance, land ownership, and social customs in early America. Through meticulous transcription and comprehensive notes, it serves as a valuable resource for scholars, historians, and anyone interested in the rich tapestry of American history. The insights gleaned from these firsthand accounts shed light on the complexities of colonial society and the resilience of its people as they navigated the complexities of their time.
