Open tears at top of front turn-in (about 1 inch long), crown of spine (about 1/2 inch), foot of spine (less than 1/4 inch). Edges of covers and spine fading, lightly creased from age and shelf wear. Small patch (about 1/2-1 inch in diameter) of discoloration to off-white at top right corner of front cover. No text or illustration obscured by any fading or tears. DJ encased in protective brodart sleeve to prevent further damage. Title page dated only 1946. No separate copyright page. Pages unnumbered, estimated about 50. Each page colorfully illustrated by Primrose. Endpapers beautifully illustrated by same artist. Pages clean and bright. Binding loosening at crown and foot of spine but neat and secured along hinges.
