Snugly bound, bright and neat in original pebbled tan cloth with a charming pictorial design to the cover in black, red and green and with titles at spine in black and red. 1911 gift inscriptionpoenciled to front endpage. Pictorial title page printed in red and black. Essentially a blank book to record recipes with thumb tabbed heading pages for sections on Eggs, Meats, Vegetables, Fish, Cakes etc. Each of the heading pages has a header illustration in black and red; there are 12 such pages. About half of the heading pages have the prior owner's neatly penciled recipe for a related dish, but the pages otherwise are blank. Trace shelf evidence to boards at extremities but in general a very handsomely preserved example of this unusual decorative binding recipe gift book. VG++. …
