South Carolina ,April 27 1890".Apparently there were two other companion books of these letters which I do not have , book is intact but disbound , spine completely gone , front and back boards are very good , many pages have water stains around the edges , has the bookplate of Thomas H. Pope former Speaker of SC House. Although not in great condition , this is still an important piece of South Carolina history.
