Aggiungi al carrelloTaschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Art experts claim that in order for an image to become art, there must be a process in which people accept this image as art and discuss this image in the context of other images. On the other hand, experts agree that the growing quantity of art works and the increasing complexity of the relations among art works lead to the fact that the original tasks of museums can no longer be fulfilled in conventional ways. Walter Grasskamp stated in an interview [8] that you would have to visit nine exhibitions a day to see all exhibitions that are held in Germany alone. Nobody can do this. Therefore, art experts, when assessing art, have never seen most of the existing art; it is, so to speak, 'invisible' to them. In this paper we outline a way to deal with this invisible art where it involves images.

Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - In the following, I am presenting the transparencies of my presentation 'Eye Tracker Data and Simulated Fixations' within the turorial 'Visualization of Eye Tracking Data' at the conference KogWis hosted by University of Tübingen. In recent years, the increased sophistication and accessibility of eye tracking technologies have generated a great deal of interest in using eye tracking data in a wide variety of disciplines. But do we need complicated devices and sophisticated measurements to track the regions people focus on Is there not a way to identify fixations by means of simulation algorithms.

Aggiungi al carrelloTaschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Experiments show that design elements used by artists are associated with mental states. We aim to utilize this relationship in both ways: design elements trigger certain mental states, and mental states are expressed by suitable design elements. To describe and utilize this relation, we propose a system of signs defined by sets of images. For each set, each of the images defining it evokes the same associations in viewers. The creation of this system comprises the following steps:- Definition of a sign as a set of images- Definition of the meaning of the signs- Combination of signs- Relationships between the signsTo solve these tasks, we calculate the similarity of images in terms of human perception using the algorithm given in [1]. This algorithm is designed to create sequences of fixations that mimic human eye movement. Based on these fixations, it calculates image similarity. Following the definition of the sign system, we describe an analytic aesthetics (cf. [2]). The function of our analytic aesthetics maps every image to a unique point in a feature space. Each sign from the above-mentioned sign system represents one dimension in this space. The value assigned each dimension is the measure of similarity between the image and the respective sign. To show the effectiveness of the proposed technique, we have implemented a working software system that includes a visual aesthetic based on a system of signs built on a corpus of 3.500 pictures of visual arts. Using this system, we demonstrate how our technique facilitates the search, exploration, and general structuring of our corpus.[1] Hermann Pflüger, Benjamin Höferlin, Michael Raschke, Thomas Ertl. Aggiungi al carrelloTaschenbuch. Condizione: Neu.
