Dust jacket retains bright color to front panel and spine illustration; dj rubbed with some scuffs at edges; bumping and wear along top edges as they fractionally overlap the boards and spine; foxing/toning to rear panel and flaps; flap corners trimmed with front flap's top corner price-clipped; dj now presented in a mylar Brodart protector. Gray cloth; toned spine retains its blue stamping; bumping to boards' bottom fore-edge corners. Foxing/toning to text block edges and endpapers; staining to pages 79-84; a few scattered light foxing spots to interior leaves which otherwise remain clean. Binding is firm. Title page cites Alex Schomburg as both dust jacket and endpaper illustrator but this third printing has blank endpapers (Winston tended to issue illustrated endpapers only with their first printings).
