In seinen Stillleben verhandelt Treiber klassische Fragestellungen der Malerei: Form und Struktur, Farbe und Komposition, Räumlichkeit und Flächenaufteilung. Mit seinen Gemälden trifft er vor allem formale und nicht erzählerische Entscheidungen. Damit provoziert der Künstler einen bewussten Bruch und erklärt das vermeintlich Falsche zur eigentlichen Qualität der Malerei - mit dem Effekt, dass seine Werke zwar irgendwie nicht ganz richtig erscheinen, aber genau richtig sind. Fabian Treiber studierte Malerei und Intermedia Design an der Staatlichen Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart. Er wurde für seine Arbeiten mit dem Karl-Schmidt-Rottluff-Stipendium ausgezeichnet und war Finalist für den Großen Hans-Purrmann-Preis 2021. Seine Arbeiten wurden u.a. in Einzelausstellungen in der Kunsthalle Nürnberg, dem Kunstverein Ludwigsburg, der Galerie Ruttkowski,68, Köln, sowie in Gruppenausstellungen in der Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, der Villa Merkel - Galerien der Stadt Esslingen a.N. und der Staatlichen Kunsthalle Baden-Baden gezeigt.
