Die politischen Entwicklungen in der Stadt Zürich, welche nicht spurlos an den Juden vorbeigegangen sein dürften, möchte ich dabei weitgehend ausser Acht lassen, da dies den Rahmen meiner Proseminararbeit sprengen würde. Länder - Mittelalter, Frühe Neuzeit, Note: 5.5 (CH!), Universität Zürich (Historisches Seminar), Veranstaltung: Proseminar II: Einführung in das Studium der Geschichte, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Dass die Juden im Mittelalter auch in der Schweiz diskriminiert und verfolgt worden waren, war mir bekannt; nicht aber in welchem Umfang und aus welchen Beweggründen. Als Fallbeispiel habe ich Zürich gewählt, weil ich in der Agglomeration aufgewachsen bin, das Gymnasium in dieser Stadt absolviert habe und nun auch an der Universität Zürich studiere. Im ersten Teil meiner Proseminararbeit, habe ich es mir zum Ziel gesetzt, zu untersuchen, wie der Alltag der Juden im mittelalterlichen Zürich aussah; welche Rechte sie hatten, wie sie ihren Lebensunterhalt verdienten. Danach möchte ich auf die Diskriminierung, Vertreibung und Verfolgung der Juden eingehen. Erst einmal möchte ich einen eher allgemeinen Überblick geben, weshalb die Juden Aussenseiter in der christlichen Gesellschaft Europas des Mittelalters waren: Welche Ereignisse haben zu der Ausweisung und Verfolgung der jüdischen Bevölkerung geführt Welche angeblichen Verbrechen wurde ihnen vorgeworfen, in welcher Art und Weise wurde gegen sie vorgegangen Danach will im Speziellen auf die Situation der Juden in Zürich eingehen. Wann wurden sie vertrieben oder gar verfolgt Was wurde ihnen vorgeworfen, welche Beweggründe steckten dahinter Bei der Untersuchung dieser Fragen habe ich einen chronologischen Aufbau gewählt, damit die vielen Veränderungen unterworfene Situation der Zürcher Juden nachvollziehbar wird. Die politischen Entwicklungen in der Stadt Zürich, welche nicht spurlos an den Juden vorbeigegangen sein dürften, möchte ich dabei weitgehend ausser Acht lassen, da dies den Rahmen meiner Proseminararbeit sprengen würde. In erster Linie stütze ich mich bei der Untersuchung dieser Fragen auf Darstellungen, welche zu diesem Thema verfasst wurden. Dabei gilt es allerdings anzumerken, dass viele dieser Werke nicht unbedingt auf dem neusten Stand und im Fall von Baer und Steinberg um die vorletzte Jahrhundertwende entstanden sind. Dennoch ist ihr Informationsgehalt beachtlich und dürfen deshalb nicht ausser Acht gelassen werden ¿ zumal die Erforschung dieser Thematik im Bezug auf die Stadt Zürich noch in den Kinderschuhen zu stecken scheint, wie ein Blick in die Bibliographie zur Geschichte der Juden in der Schweiz verrät.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 24 pp. Deutsch.
