Frottements au dos et sur les plats, a…ux coiffes, aux coupes et aux coins. Tome premier, le seul paru, avec les pièces diplomatiques. "Horrer, Philippe-Xavier, auteur, était bailli de Wasselonne, quand il fût envoyé par les électeurs comme député à l'assemblée provinciale, en 1787. Il est l'auteur d'un dictionnaire historique et politique de l'Alsace, Strasbourg, 1747, in-4, dont malheureusement le premier volume seul a paru, sans nom d'auteur. L'ouvrage devait contenir douze volumes ; les onze volumes à parapitre étaient entièrement achevés et se sont perdus dans la tourmente révolutionnaire. On prétend que le manuscrit se trouve publié : Breviculum jurium episcopatus Argentinensis, sans lieu, ni date". Edouard Sitzmann, dans son dictionnaire de biographie des hommes célèbres de l'Alsace.
