In cloth slipcase (minimal flecking). 134 pp. A facsimile of the very first book published in Australia, 1802, by the Government Printer, Sydney (only 3 copies are known to exist). This facsimile edition starts with selected standing orders issued by Governors Arthur Phillip and John Hunter (12 pages), followed by general orders and proclamations by Governor Philip Gidley King (122 pages, separately numbered). Some examples [edited]: John Simmonds has been sentenced to hard labour for 12 months. There being only 12 weeks salt meat remaining in the stores, [none for] all women, children and those men not actively employed until further notice. The days for grain being received into the stores from individuals at Sydney, Parramatta and Hawkesbury are Fridays. (No. 65 of a limited edition of 150 copies, by History Books Australia, 1983.
