Signed "Yours very sincerely / W. G. Cusins." There is some very light foxing & soiling to the letterhead & scraps of gray paper a…dhere to the verso where the letter has been removed from an album. Folded once for mailing. Very good. Cusins responds to a request for his autograph.Sir William George Cusins [1833-1893] was an English pianist, violinist, organist, conductor and composer. He toured widely in England and Europe as a concert pianist and composer. He also played the violin in various London orchestras. In 1851 he succeeded Sterndale Bennett as conductor of the Philharmonic Society and remained in that post until 1883. He was appointed organist to Queen Victoria's private chapel and in 1870 was made Master of the Queen's Musick. He was knighted in 1892.
