Über Frantisek Khol finden sich nicht viele Belege. Er wirkte als Zeichner und Autor und war einer der Mitbegründer des Tschechischen PEN. Der vorliegende Band mit zwei seiner Erzählungen, übersetzt von Otto Pick und mit einem von J.Capek (Bruder von Karl Capek) gestalteten Titelmotiv. Erschienen in einer Auflage von 1000 Exemplaren.
