The contestants were Maxwell L Fuller (2365) scored 7 points to capture sole first, Robert Bellin (2365) a point behind was clear second, Robert Graham Wade (2350) achieved third a half point behind him, Lesly SF Blackstock was fourth at 5 points, Seth Saverymuttu (2250) was fifth with a score of 4.5, Michael J Basman (2400), Michael J Franklin (2335) and Colin S Crouch all shared sixth through eight with 4 points each, Tim D Harding and Kevin J O'Connell shared the last two spots with 2.5. Lesly Blackstock performance allowed him to appear in the 1975 FIDE listing. The tournament was an event celebrating the Athenaeum Chess Club's completion of 101 years of existence.
