Aggiungi al carrelloSmall 8vo pamphlet, original printed paper wrappers, 48 pp. Covers worn and with spine and edgewear, hard to read a couple of words, minor corner folds, paper browned and aged, but not brittle; in decent shape overall. In addition to serving as a mini account book, this little book is full of medical and other useful information…. This includes diagnosis of heart disease, constipation, bronchitis, headaches and skin diseases. Dr. Pierce puts in a plug for some remedies. Since this is an account book, there are a couple of pages with hand written notations.

Detailed description of symptoms and causes of male reproductive organ diseases and ailments, accompanied by woodcut illustrations. Covers a bit worn and edge rubbed; a dark brown stain to the bottom corner tip of the cover and first 20 or so leaves. Two darker spill/soil stains to the rear cover and last several leaves. Illustrated with woodcuts of the male organs and their infirmities, along with promotional woodcut views of the author's medical retreat in Buffalo, the grounds and printing office etc and a map of Buffalo showing the locations of the Dispensary and Invalid Hotel. Topics of impotence, masturbation, syphillis etc are given some scientific treatment but informed heavily by a 19th century Christian moral approach. Uncommon medical dime book in sound and still decent condition. VG- thus.
