Inscribed and signed by the artist inside upper chemise cover. Collection of thirty-two caricatures of French political dignitaries by the Polish-born Jewish-French illustrator Louis Mitelberg (1919-2002), who often published under the pseudonym "Tim." A member of the French Resistance working from London during World War II, Mitelberg was naturalized in France after the war and built a career around making fun of the new, post-Vichy class of French politician, especially "le Grand Charles" de Gaulle, whose long sad face appears in this collection.
