Aggiungi al carrelloFull-Leather. Condizione: Good+. On offer is a super autograph album and memory book of Pierre W. Golay who in 1938 was being schooled in Switzerland. It appears that for most of the war years he was in the neutral country but by 1945 he was a young British soldier. There are many, many dozens if not 100+ of signatures and inscriptions plus photographs in the book and ephemeral items enclosed like menus of important dinners are also signed and sometimes inscribed. There are three stand out autographs of important World War II personages among the school, family, army and theater friends in the 2/3rds filled book: 1) Field Marshall [B.L.] Montgomery, undated; 2) General Henri Guisan, Jan. 5, 1940 [credited with almost singlehandedly saving Switzerland from Hitler's armies and a symbol of resistance to Nazism] his picture is attached on the opposite page; and 3) Col. Div. Dollfus, Adjutant General de l'Armee [the Swiss Army?], Mars 1940. The largish 6½ x 7¾, full leather, once premium album is now rubbed and chipped and the clasp is removed leaving slits in te leather, the tab is in half but the interiors are very good and overall G+.
