[.]" -------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------ Im Zentrum der Abhandlung steht die Topographie der Mütterlichkeit, die sich einerseits aus einer Vielfalt von diskursiven Konzepten andererseits aus literarischen Darstellungen der Mutter-Figur in der Schweizer Literatur von Frauen ergibt. Die Autorin präsentiert das breite Spektrum der Mutter-Diskurse, die von philosophischen, pädagogischen, psychologischen und soziologischen Mütterlichkeitskonzepten geprägt sind und sich im Laufe der Zeit zum interdisziplinären Forschungsobjekt profilierten. Es wird darauf verwiesen, dass bei der Konzeptualisierung des Weiblichen sowohl bei Luther, als auch bei den Philosophen und Pädagogen der Aufklärung - Rousseau und Pestalozzi, genauso wie in der Theorie der Geschlechtscharaktere die Frau/Mutter durch einen Ort und seine Begrenztheit definiert wird. Sie tritt nicht in die Ãffentlichkeit, ihr Platz ist nicht in der Welt sondern in ihrer Wohnstube. An diesem Ort werden ihr Aufgaben gestellt, die sie auf Ernährerin und Betreuerin ihrer Kinder reduzieren, wobei sie der Verpflichtung nachgehen soll, ihrem Nachwuchs die Regeln der patriarchalen Lebensordnung beizubringen. Im explizierenden Teil der Untersuchung wendet sich die Autorin hingegen, vor dem Hintergrund neuerer literaturwissenschaftlicher Ansätze, die unter der Bezeichnung 'Ãcriture fà minine' fungieren und die symbolische Mutter reflektieren, der Frage nach dem Ort und der Identität der Mutter zu, die die Grenzen der patriarchalen Ordnung sprengt. Konstruktionen solcher Mutter-Figuren werden in den literarischen Werken der Schweizer Autorinnen (Laure Wyss, Erica Pedretti, Gertrud Leutenegger, Rahel Hutmacher, Eveline Hasler, Zoë Jenny) gesucht. Gleichzeitig wird auf die für Schweizerinnen spezifische politisch-gesellschaftliche Lage (Unterdrückung der Frauen auf der Ebene der Politik, Familie und des Berufslebens), sowie auf die Position der Schweizer Schriftstellerinnen auf der helvetischen Literaturszene verwiesen. Aus der Analyse der ausgewählten Mutter-Texte ergibt sich eine neue sich gegen die traditionelle Mutterrolle richtende Verhaltensweise der literarischen Mütter, die sich von den patriarchalen Strukturen der Schweizer Gesellschaft unabhängig gemacht und ihre eigene Identität gefunden haben. Die Autorin versucht zu beweisen, dass die Konstruktion der Mutter-Figur in der Schweizer Literatur von Frauen nach einem internen schweizerischen Diskurs erfolgt, der die Theorie der 'Ãcriture fà minine' überholt und auf die spezifische gesellschaftlich-politische Situation der Schweizerinnen zurückzuführen ist.
