Printed at Malta by the Anglican missionaries. William R. Whittingham (1805-1879), graduated the General Theological Seminary in 1825 and was named librarian of the newly founded school. He later accepted a position on the faculty in 1836. Whittingham was consecrated the fourth Bishop of Maryland in 1840 and served in that capacity until his death.
