This French avant-garde art periodical focused mostly on European abstraction, issues were devoted to Cubism, Photography, Naive artists, and each issue carries reviews of the current Paris shows. Among the contributors for the articles on the abstract art scene in Europe we find Michel Seuphor, Edgard Pillet , Léon Degand , Pierre Guéguen, Gerd Schiff , Julien Alvard , Daniel Henry Kahnweiler , R. V. Gindertael , Herbert Read , G. L. K. Morris. Each issue carries reviews of the Paris shows; some are devoted to a single subject such as Cubism, Photography, Drawings of children and naive artists or Painting in USA. Individual articles range from Tattooing & Poster art to Henry Moore and Julio Ganzalez. The original wrappers feature a number of especially commissioned designs by artists such as Magnelli, Delaunay, Poliakoff, and Arp. Some of the early cover designs were based on readers' submission, including a colour one from a young child. The publication of the five series was irregular and the aim of 12 issues a year was never accomplished. E-03; 8vo 8" - 9" tall.
