A Soviet Russian L.P. Discography, S. 606. Der Dirigent und Komponist N.S. Golowanow (1891-1953), der u.a. unter Michail Ippolitow-Iwanow studiert hatte, wurde nach der Oktoberrevolution Dirigent des Bolschoi-Theaters und organisierte dort ab 1919 zusammen mit dem bedeutenden Theaterrefomer Konstantin Stanislawski ein Opernstudio, aus dem 1928 das Stanislawski-Operntheater wurde. Zu der Zeit gab es aber auch eine politische Kampagne gegen ihn, da er sich der Aufführung neuer Opern sowjetischer Komponisten widersetzt hatte, die zu seiner Entlassung am Bolschoi führte. 1930 erhielt er seinen Posten jedoch zurück, nur um 1936 erneut entlassen zu werden. 1938 wurde er dann Leiter der Opernabteilung des Stanislawski-Operntheater und 1948 Chefdirigent des Bolschoi-Theaters. Trotz der Kontorversen um seine Person, war er dennoch hoch geehrt (u.a. mehrere Stalin-Preise), vor allem weil er während des Krieges und vor allem bei der deutschen Belagerung Moskaus die Stadt nicht verlassen, für den Rundfunk gearbeitet und Konzerte gegeben hatte. Seine eigenen Kompositionen wurden nach seinem Tod kaum noch gespielt, finden in jüngerer Zeit aber wieder mehr Beachtung. Sprache: ru.…
