Hardcover. N. D. , looks early 1900s. Hardcover, maroon cloth, 120 pp. Fair, no DJ. Cloth soiled, cardboard exposed at corners, a few small holes in rear board. Internally, hinges cracked, with textblock starting to detach from binding, paper age tanned, with a water (? ) stain around the margins, pencil note on 1 page, several dogears, 1 to 2 inch tears on several leaves (text complete) , but o/w actually tight, unmarked, and paper is almost crisp. A collection of essays which originally appeared in the Bangor (Maine) Daily News, intended for both Jewish and Gentile readers. Subjects, beside descriptions of the chief holy days, include Hell, antisemitism, Zionism, woman's issues, and "Capital vs. Labor". Insightful, well written, and entertaining. Scarce.
