I smukt udført bogæske, der imiterer et halvbind, komplet med ryg og hjørner af brunt gedeskind med Plums våbenmærke i guld på forpermens rygskind samt marmoreret papir indvendigt (Anker Kyster). Æsken med sm…åskrammer. * Yderligere tre bind udsendtes. Dette første dækker perioden 1893-1905. Harald Plum (1881-1929) var erhvervsmand i den store stil og etablerede i 1911 holding-selskabet The United Export Co. med støtte fra Landmandsbanken. I 1916 etableredes overbygningen Det transatlantiske Kompagni. I løbet af krigsårene og perioden lige efter opnåede Plum engagementer i Landmandsbanken for knap 200 millioner kroner - en fuldstændig svimlende sum på det tidspunkt. Plums transaktioner blev en katastrofe for Landmandsbankens aktionærer ved bankens sammenbrud i 1922. Selv om Plum blev idømt en stor bøde, fortsatte han ufortrødent sine transaktioner, indtil en stor politiundersøgelse i efteråret 1929 afslørede bedragerier og fusk til omkring 20 millioner. Historien minder ikke så lidt om nyere tids Nordisk Fjer-skandale. Plum valgte da også samme udvej som direktøren her, da boblen brast: Han skød sig. Forinden havde han deponeret manuskriptet til et fjerde bind af sine erindringer på Det Kongelige Bibliotek.
