Aggiungi al carrelloVintage photograph of director Richard Brooks and actor Paul Newman on the set of the 1958 film. Typed description and manuscript annotations on the verso. Based on the 1955 Pulitzer Prize-winning play of the same name by Tennessee Williams, though without much of the homosexual themes and cultural critique of the original. Bric…k Pollitt (Paul Newman) is a troubled man, beat up from a drunken accident on his way to visit his dying father, Big Daddy (Burl Ives), and the rest of his family with his wife Maggie (Elizabeth Taylor). The gathering brings out the family's deeply buried tension, repression and anxiety. Nominated for six Academy Awards. Shot on location in Long Island, New York. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine.
