Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. Neuware - This volume is the second collection of poems about love by writers connected in some way with the Collegiate Church of St Endellion in North Cornwall. The pieces included here come from writers who are published poets, some of them prize-winning poets, as well as from amateur poets. Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. This collection is by an Anglican priest, still actively engaged in pastoral work and leading services in her eighties. Four addresses given in St Endellion Collegiate Church, North Cornwall, precede each of four sections titled 'Poems of Childhood and Family', 'Poems of Love and Loss', 'Poems of Devotion', and 'Poems of Practice and Experience'. This combination of homily and poetry reflects Judith Pollinger's life-time's experience in a number of different roles-daughter, wife, mother, newspaper reporter, school teacher, farmer, and priest. Containing joy and sadness, humour and sharp observation, this book distills the wisdom of many years into image-making and story-telling, and it will enable the reader to enter more deeply into what it means to be Christian and human.
